A man caught drink-driving while on his way to Manchester from Dundee had sentence deferred.
Shaun Rattray, 27, of Pentland Avenue, admitted driving with excess alcohol (96mics) on the Kingsway, at the Swallow Roundabout, on December 15, exceeding the limit of 22 mics.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard that Rattray was driving at speed and lost control of his car after having difficulty negotiating a turn.
Rattray, who was travelling to Manchester to visit his children, was also found to be driving without insurance.
Sheriff Tom Hughes deferred sentence until February 1 for social work reports and a restriction of liberty order assessment.
