Michael Phinn faces an allegation that on February 20 last year he tried to steal the motor from Dundee’s Rosefield Street. Prosecutors say that “by means of a metal chain and pulled” he “lifted the vehicle off the ground and did thus attempt to steal it”. Phinn, 62, of Whorterbank, Dundee, did not appear at Dundee Sheriff Court to face the charge of attempted theft on summary complaint. Sheriff Tom Hughes continued the case without plea until February. This article originally appeared on the Evening Telegraph website. For more information, read about our new combined website.
