A man who breached a non-harassment order and assaulted his former girlfriend’s new partner by punching him has had his sentence deferred.
Mark Crighton, 30, of Fleming Gardens West, admitted that he assaulted Christopher Knight by punching him on the head to his injury in South Tay Street on December 10, while on bail.
At Dundee Sheriff Court, Crighton also admitted breaching a non-harassment order by approaching and contacting Mr Knight and Samantha Backhouse at the Underground Nightclub on the same date, while on bail.
Sheriff Lorna Drummond deferred sentence until January 26 for reports and a restriction of liberty assessment.
Crighton was granted bail in the meantime.
