Shaun Dunn, 25, of Dryburgh Street, was placed on a community payback order under supervision for a year and ordered to take part in the Respect anti-bullying programme.
He was also given 120 hours of unpaid work after he admitted that on July 6 last year, at a flat in Strathmore Avenue, he assaulted his partner Rebekah Cruickshank, then pregnant, scratched her on the head and body and bit her on the body, all to her injury.
