A disqualified driver refused to give a specimen of breath after losing control of his car, causing it to be “airborne” as it spun 360 degrees.
At Dundee Sheriff Court, Steven Harrison, 22, of Elizabeth Street in Tayport, admitted driving dangerously on April 8 at Greendykes Road, while disqualified, at excessive speed and with no headlights on, failing to keep control of his car and skidding, hitting the kerb of a roundabout, causing the car to land on the opposite side of the roundabout at Craigie Avenue.
He also admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and on June 20, failing to appear at court.
He was placed on a community payback order with 300 hours unpaid work, disqualified for 32 months and fined £200.
