Three people have appeared before a sheriff accused of assault and robbery, and attempted extortion.
Stephen Henderson, 46, of Mossgiel Crescent, Alexander White, 42, of Fintryside, and Shona Johnston, 46, of Crichton Street, appeared separately and in private before Sheriff Derek Reekie.
All three appeared on a petition alleging that on various occasions between November 28 and 30, at City Road, Crichton Street, Meadowside, Shell Filling Station in West Marketgait, all Dundee, and elsewhere unknown, while acting with another person unknown, they assaulted Graeme Adam by punching him on the head, to his injury, threatened him that unless he gave them £300 they would assault him with a knife, inflict other violence, attend at his home and report him to police as the perpetrator of a domestic offence, and robbed him of £300.
The petition also alleges they attempted to extort him to deliver other items including cigarettes, money and a password for a mobile phone to them.
None of the accused made any plea and Henderson was remanded in custody, while White and Johnston were granted bail.
The case was continued for further examination.
