A woman has been accused of assaulting a man in his own home, threatening him with a needle at his neck and demanding money.
Andrea Westwater, 35, of Ancrum Court, appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court before Sheriff Lorna Drummond on a petition alleging assault with a needle and attempted robbery.
It is alleged that, while acting with another, Westwater assaulted householder Gordon Duncan by seizing him by the neck, presented a needle at his neck, repeatedly punched him on the body, uttered threats of violence and demanded money, with intent to rob him, at Lansdowne Court, Lochee, on November 26, while on bail.
Westwater made no plea and was remanded in custody.
The case was continued for further examination.
