Darren Davies, 44, of Forrester Park Drive, Edinburgh, was fined £360 by Sheriff John Rafferty at Dundee.
Davies admitted possessing cocaine and ecstasy at the Carnival Fifty Six music festival at Camperdown Park in Dundee on August 13.
Depute fiscal Claire Rowan told the court the accused was detained after sniffer dogs indicated he had drugs. The total value of the cocaine and ecstasy, which he had in his boxer shorts, was £250.
