A man has appeared in court charged with stealing more than £2,000 from banks in Dundee.
Richard Mitchell, 36, of Graham Court, denies six charges of stealing the money by using bank cards and personal identity numbers at various banks over a two-month period last year.
Mitchell denies that, between September 26 and November 23, at Nationwide Bank, Reform Street, by using a bank card and PIN, he forced open a lockfast automated teller machine and stole £400.
He also denies that during the same period, at the Royal Bank of Scotland in High Street, with a bank card and PIN, he stole £480, and at Tesco, Murraygate, stole £450, on October 25 at Tesco, Kingsway West Retail Park, he stole £190, on October 29 at Tesco, Riverside, stole £100 and between November 24 and 25, at Bank of Scotland, Murraygate, he stole £480.
Trial was set for December 7 and he was bailed to appear.
