A woman who slashed another woman with a shard of glass after an argument had sentence deferred.
Elizabeth Holt, 50, a prisoner at Edinburgh, admitted assaulting Wendy Stewart at Ancrum Court on July 31, by seizing her by the body, pulling her by the hair and repeatedly striking her on the head and body with a piece of broken glass, to her severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
Sheriff Alastair Brown deferred sentence for reports until December 13.
