David Hendry, 19, of The Pines in Dundee, had his sentence deferred until December 6.
Hendry admitted that he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm, repeatedly shouted, swore, uttered threats of violence and kicked and butted a police vehicle in Drumgeith Road on March 4.
Sheriff John Rafferty deferred sentence on Hendry for reports and a restriction of liberty assessment and granted him bail.
