Donald Henderson, 19, of Hay Gardens, Edinburgh, admitted theft and breach of the peace charges when he appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Henderson admitted stealing £130 from a woman at Malcolm Street in the city on August 22.
He also admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear and alarm, shouting and swearing at the woman, behaving in an aggressive manner and pulling a window, causing damage, at the same place on the same date.
Sentence was deferred until November 22.
