ByAlan Wilson
A man who spat in the face of a Dundee police officer and tried to run away has been ordered to pay her £250 in compensation.
Reece Holt, 21, of Gleneagles Court admitted that on April 16, in Seagate, he assaulted PC Linzi McAlpine, and spat on her face.
He also admitted possessing cocaine after being caught by a police sniffer dog.
Dundee Sheriff Court previously heard that Holt then attempted to flee the scene, assaulting PC McAlpine in the process.
Sheriff Rafferty fined Holt £50 and placed him on a restriction of liberty order for two months, keeping him at his home address between 9pm-5am each day.
