A Dundee man will stand trial at the city’s sheriff court accused of grabbing his partner by the throat and repeatedly punching her.
Michael Watson, 26, of Ballindean Road, denied behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on October 22 at Balmoral Terrace.
Watson is alleged to have acted in an aggressive manner towards Shannon Cummings by locking the door to the property to prevent her leaving the premises.
He also denied assaulting Ms Cummings on the same date and at the same location, by seizing her by the hair and the throat, before repeatedly punching her on the head and body, to her injury.
Watson’s trial will take place on January 8.
An intermediate diet is to be held on December 15.
