A Dundee man has been jailed at the city’s sheriff court after his fifth conviction for driving while disqualified.
Grant McGovern, 38, of Dudhope Court, admitted driving while disqualified in Bell Street on September 17.
He also admitted driving without due care and attention, mounting a kerb, colliding with metal barriers, and reversing and driving forwards again, colliding with the barriers and causing damage to them and the car he was driving.
McGovern further admitted driving while unfit through drink or drugs and without insurance.
Sentencing McGovern to six months in prison and disqualifying him from driving for three years, Sheriff Derek Reekie said: “Your driving record is just utterly appalling.”
