Sentence was deferred at Dundee Sheriff Court on a city man who grew cannabis at his home.
Lindsay Reid, 49, of Seagate, admitted production and possession of the Class B drug on October 15 last year.
It was revealed in court that police were visiting Reid’s house following an allegation that he had been the victim of an assault.
Five mature plants and five small plants were discovered in Reid’s bathroom which were later found to be cannabis.
The plants were revealed to have a combined weight of 8.2g
When cautioned and charged by officers, Reid replied: “I smoke it for epilepsy.”
Sheriff Derek Reekie deferred sentence on Reid until April 4 next year for the preparation of a social work report and for him to be of good behaviour.
