He admitted struggling violently with PCs Richard Sturrock and Arkadiusz Szewczyk before assaulting PC Sturrock in Scott Court on August 27. McCash, of South Balmossie Street, Monifieth, punched and butted PC Sturrock on the head as well as kicking him on the body. The court heard police were called to attend McCash’s home where he was found with his partner. He struggled with police as they attempted to put him in the police van. McCash then tried to stop officers handcuffing him and punched PC Sturrock on the side of the head before being taken to the ground. Sheriff Tom Hughes deferred sentence for reports until November 23. This article originally appeared on the Evening Telegraph website. For more information, read about our new combined website.
