A man has been barred from all licensed premises in Dundee in an effort to curb his drinking.
William Murray, 45, of Moncur Crescent, was hit with the order after admitting behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the A&E department of Ninewells Hospital on October 1.
He pleaded guilty to shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard he was taken there by police and shouted at hospital staff: “Touch me again and I’ll punch you in the face.”
Lawyer Mike Short said Murray was “thoroughly ashamed of his behaviour”.
Sheriff John Rafferty deferred Murray’s case until October 31 with a special bail condition preventing him from entering any premises that permits the consumption of alcohol.
