A man has been charged with barricading a child in the bedroom of a Dundee house and raping the youngster.
Samuel Zammit, 33, is also accused of attempting to rape another child after blocking the youngster into a home.
Zammit appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court facing two charges related to alleged sexual offences.
Zammit, whose address was given in court as Two Saints, Dene Court, Andover — a town in the English county of Hampshire — made no plea or declaration during a brief private hearing on petition before Sheriff Lorna Drummond.
Prosecutors claim Zammit barricaded one of the youngsters in a bedroom and raped the child on March 5 last year at a property in Dundee.
He is also alleged to have barricaded another youngster in a bedroom and attempted to rape the child, on the same date and at the same location.
The case against Zammit was continued for further examination and he was released on bail, pending a further appearance.
