Local care worker, 32, denies causing resident to choke by forcing liquid into their mouth

A care worker at a local nursing home has been accused of ill-treating a resident and causing him to choke.
Cheryl Leigh Lesley Niven, 32, of Seacraig Court, Newport-on-Tay, has denied that on June 5, at Craighead Nursing Home, she assaulted Paul Stewart by tilting his chair backwards, pinning his head to the chair and forcing liquid into his mouth, causing him to choke.
Trial is on December 7 with an intermediate diet on November 14.
