A man accused of ill-treating two dogs will face trial at Dundee Sheriff Court in January.
Derek Low, 64, of Abbotsford Place, denies that on June 6, at Milnbank Road, while being responsible for two Staffordshire cross breed dogs belonging to Shirley Anne Lowe, he caused unnecessary suffering by repeatedly striking the dogs on the body with his hands.
He also denies, on the same date and at the same place, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, shouted and swore and uttered threats of violence.
And he further denies a charge of assaulting Paul Gorrie by headbutting him and punching him on the head to his injury.
Trial is set for January 17 next year with an intermediate diet due to take place on December 19.
