Man, 26, made ‘conscious decision’ to drive in Dundee despite road ban
ByAlan Wilson
A man who made a “conscious decision” to drive while disqualified was remanded in custody at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Sean Rooney, 26, of James Street, Arbroath, admitted driving while disqualified, without insurance and without a licence on Arbroath Road, Dundee, on August 25.
Solicitor Paul Parker Smith said reports would be required and asked for his client to be bailed.
However, Sheriff Lorna Drummond told Rooney: “You made a conscious decision to drive while disqualified.
“You were here three weeks ago. You are a persistent road traffic offender and you have driven while disqualified many, many times before.”
Sentence was deferred until September 7 for reports.
