Two people are facing trial over allegations they broke into a property within a block of flats and set fire to furniture.
Emma Campbell, 33, and Peter Whyte, 28, are alleged to have put residents of the flats in Dundeeās Arklay Terrace in danger by starting the blaze.
Prosecutors allege that Campbell, of Court Street, and Whyte forced entry to the property in the early hours of November 27 last year.
It is alleged that while in the flat, they wilfully set fire to furniture in the living room.
The single charge both are facing alleges the blaze took effect and severely damaged furniture and the interior of the flat, and put others within the block in danger. Both accused deny the allegation against them.
The pair are due to stand trial over the incident at Dundee Sheriff Court.
A trial diet has been set down for this month and is due to get under way at the court in the coming days.
At the time of the blaze, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service reported it had attended an incident in Arklay Terrace.
The fire was said to have happened shortly after 1.20am.
The service reported the blaze had broken out in a first-floor flat of the building.
A total of five fire appliances attended the scene. Firefighters used two hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
There were no reports of injuries and crews said all the residents of the block had been accounted for.
Police later arrested and charged Campbell and Whyte in connection with the blaze.
