Lyall Murdoch, 27, of Laing Place, was ordered by Dundee Sheriff Court to complete 80 hours of unpaid work in the community.
Murdoch admitted aggressive behaviour by shouting, swearing, upturning a table, demanding entry and uttering threats of violence at a home in Pitkerro Drive on April 30.
He also admitted assaulting his partner, Genna Towns, by throwing a cigarette lighter at her, and he admitted two charges of destroying the property of another by repeatedly kicking the front door, causing damage to the door, and by striking the window of a car, causing the window to break, on the same date and at the same location.
Murdoch was also placed under supervision for 18 months.
