A man was caught with more than £38,000 worth of cannabis and seedlings in a “professional” growing site.
Grant Guynan, 31, had created his cannabis farm in a three-storey townhouse on Clepington Road which he and his brother inherited.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard one police officer described Guynan’s set up as “the most professional cultivation he had ever seen”.
Fiscal depute Kirsten Letford told the court a gas engineer attended at the home and noticed a strong smell of cannabis within the property.
The fiscal said: “Police were informed and officers found cannabis cultivation set-ups in a bedroom on the second floor and another bedroom on the third floor.
“The top bedroom had three hanging nets, five drying shelves, a filter and a water pump and the bathroom next door was being used for stocks.
“The bedroom on the middle floor was for seedlings and growing. Police found 19 young seedlings in there which, if they reached full maturity, would be worth £3,000 to £10,600.
“A total of 2.75kg of cannabis was also found at the property with a value of £27,500.”
Guynan, of Clepington Road, admitted producing cannabis, a Class B drug, and supplying cannabis, both at Clepington Road, between May 24 and August 16 last year. Sentence was deferred until July 18.
