A man has appeared in court following a gun probe in a Dundee street.
Ross Jackson, 25, was arrested in Court Street on Saturday in connection with an incident.
Police had received a report in the early hours of Saturday about two women being assaulted in Court Street, and appealed to trace a car seen driving in the area at the time.
Armed officers then turned up at a block in the same street on Sunday as part of an operation linked to Saturday’s incident, with the street cordoned off by officers.
Jackson, who lives in Court Street, was charged and appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court.
He faced a charge of holding a firearm to the fear and alarm of others, leading them to believe that they would be assaulted.
Jackson, who appeared on petition in a private hearing, made no plea or declaration.
He was remanded in custody and the case was continued ahead of a further hearing at a later date.
