A man knocked his former partner to the floor, placed his knee on her chest and restricted her breathing.
Mark Meldrum, 24, of Lulworth Court, was placed under one year’s supervision at Dundee Sheriff Court after admitting assault and aggressive behaviour.
Meldrum admitted that on February 9, at a property in St Columba Gardens, St Marys, Dundee he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner. He committed the offence by shouting and swearing at his former partner Jordan Todd.
He further admitted assaulting Ms Todd at the same location and on the same date.
Meldrum carried out the assault by throwing a mobile phone at Ms Todd, struggling with her and striking her with his body.
He also admitted knocking her to the floor, placing his knee on her chest, restricting her breathing, throwing a set of keys at her and throwing a mobile phone at her, causing it to strike her on the body, all to her injury.
