A man who threw a remote control at his partner and assaulted her has been fined £600 at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Stephen Cook, 34, of Mintlaw Park, previously admitted that on August 12 he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and seizing a phone from Amanda McGuire.
He also admitted assaulting Ms McGuire by throwing a remote control at her, seizing her by the body and pulling her across the ground by the body, pinning her to the sofa and pushing his head against hers, all to her injury, on the same date.
The offences took place at the home the couple share in Mintlaw Park.
The court was told Ms McGuire was left with bruising on her body following the attack.
