A MAN allegedly reached through the window of a Dundee home with a pole and tried to steal items from within.
Sean Van Lierop, 36, of Ballantrae Road, denied five charges against him at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Van Lierop allegedly committed a spree of offences on June 25 last year.
He denies breaking into a property owned by Linda McComiskie, on Skene Street, Broughty Ferry, by attempting to climb into the house and reaching through a window with a pole, with intent to steal and attempting to steal.
And he denies entering a property on Marlee Road, Broughty Ferry, uninvited during the hours of darkness while the occupants were sleeping, and stealing a notepad, pack of playing cards, hard drive, iPad, Amazon card, set of car keys, iPod Touch, £5 cash and a wallet.
Van Lierop further denies assaulting PC James Gordon by repeatedly swinging his arms and attempting to punch him and resisting arrest, also on Marlee Road, Broughty Ferry.
And he denies that during the course of a journey from Marlee Road to police headquarters, while in a police vehicle, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by threatening violence towards PC Gareth Irons and PC Victoria O’Neil.
Van Lierop also denies assaulting PC James Gordon by punching him on the head, at the cells area of police headquarters, the following day.
Trial takes place on April 11.
