A Dundee teenager allegedly crashed a car into the entrance at Camperdown Park after a police chase.
The 17-year-old male — who cannot be named for legal reasons — allegedly had no licence when he drove a car dangerously and at excessive speeds through the city.
He allegedly failed to stop despite being requested to do so by a police officer and sped off with the driver’s door open.
The youth, who is from Dundee, denied six charges at the city’s sheriff court. He denied failing to stop a car he was driving when requested to do so by PC Mark Ferrie, at Gourdie Brae, Birkhill, on November 7 last year.
And he denied driving a car without insurance and without a licence at Coupar Angus Road, Gourdie Brae and Camperdown Park, on the same date.
The teen further denied driving a car dangerously at the same locations and on the same date. He allegedly committed this offence by driving with the driver’s door open, repeatedly entering the opposing carriageway, and driving at excessive speeds for the road and road conditions.
And he allegedly then lost control of the vehicle he was driving and failed to negotiate an entrance gate at Camperdown Park, collided with a stone wall there and caused damage to the car and the wall.
The youth also denies using a car without a valid MOT and keeping a car which was unlicensed.
Trial takes place on June 8 with an intermediate diet on May 24.
