Man faces eight sex charges

A 25-YEAR-OLD man faces eight sex charges involving children.

Michael Grimes will stand trial at Dundee Sheriff Court.

He denies eight charges against him, all of which are of a sexual nature involving children.

Grimes denies sending written communication of a sexual nature to four different children via social media, in which he used sexual language.

And he denies making three children look at sexual images of his own private parts by sending them via social media.

He also denies a further charge of using lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour towards a child.

All of the charges are alleged to have happened between March 2007 and March 2015, at properties in Angus towns and elsewhere.

Grimes, of Wharf Street, Montrose, will stand trial on March 14.
