A former Dundee footballer will stand trial at the city’s sheriff court accused of domestic assault.
Philip Roberts, 21, of Wesllesley Road, Ilford, Essex, denies one charge against him.
The striker denies assaulting Georgina Davidson by seizing her by the body and holding her against a wall, to her injury, on March 15 last year at South Ward Road.
The trial will take place on May 26 with an intermediate diet on May 12.
Roberts was released by Dundee at the start of the season. He made just ten appearances for the Dark Blues, scoring just the once – a wildly deflected shot in the 1-1 draw against Partick Thistle in December 2014.
The Republic of Ireland youngster was loaned out to Alloa by Paul Hartley at the start of last year. He made just seven appearances for the Championship side.
