A MAN has been charged with assault after police were called to attend a party at a flat.
Officers were called to an address in Dundee’s Menzieshill at the weekend following reports of “loud music” being played from an address on Forth Crescent on Saturday.
Today Police Scotland confirmed that two people have been charged following the party.
One man, 38, has been charged with assault while another male, a 19-year-old, has been charged with wasting police time.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said today: “A 19-year-old man has been charged with wasting police time on Saturday January 23.
“A 38-year-old man has been charged with assault in connection with that incident and will be appearing at Dundee Sheriff Court today.”
The spokeswoman added that a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal in connection with the alleged assault.
Residents had reported seeing the road closed as police were in the area on Saturday and Sunday.
