A 34-YEAR-OLD Dundee woman fraudulently claimed £70,000 worth of benefits, the sheriff court heard.
Now Sarah Alison has been warned by her own solicitor that she could be jailed for the offences.
Alison (right), of St Fillans Road, admitted two charges at Dundee Sheriff Court when the case called today.
The court heard that both of the crimes took place over a four-year period between 2009 and 2013, at a property on Linksfield, Tayport.
She committed the fraud by failing to declare to benefit bosses that she was maintaining a common household with Graham Thomson.
Alison admitted fraudulently claiming £60,000 worth of income support.
That crime took place between April 7 2009 and March 29 2013.
She also admitted fraudulently claiming £10,000 worth of housing and council tax benefit between September 18 2009 and March 31 2013.
Solicitor Ann Duffy, defending, said: “She has three children, one of which is highly dependent on her.
“I have advised that custody is almost inevitable.
“I would therefore ask sentence to be deferred to allow her time to put measures in place.”
Sentence was deferred until September 23 for reports and to allow the Crown time to prepare a narrative.
