A man who punched a woman and left her with permanent double and blurred vision was ordered to pay £2,500 compensation at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Mark Deasley, 26, of Westcroft Road, was also ordered to complete 240 hours of unpaid work and placed under 27 months’ supervision.
Deasley admitted that on September 5 last year, at Ferrari’s, Ogilvie Street, he assaulted Katrian Juckiewicz by repeatedly punching her on the head, to her severe injury, permanent disfigurement and permanent impairment.
The court heard Deasley punched Ms Juckiewicz twice in the face when she got caught up in the middle of a fight between him and another man.
As a result she needed facial reconstructive surgery, involving the insertion of a metal plate.
