A man is to stand trial accused of a string of “historic” child sex abuse offences against young children spanning almost a decade.
Gibson Dunbar faces allegations that he sexually abused four different children over a period between December 1990 and May 1999.
He is first said to have used lewd, libidinous and indecent practices and behaviour towards a child at an address in Dundee by making the child carry out a sex act on him.
A second allegation states that he targeted another child – allegedly going into their bedroom while the child slept and enticing the child to go to another room to watch adult pornography before trying to get the child to carry out a sex act on him.
Dunbar is accused of targeting a third victim between August 1995 and March 1996 at another address in Dundee – this time touching a teenager under their clothing.
He is then said to have carried out another offence against the same teenager between April 1996 and August 1996.
A final charge states that on one occasion between May 1998 and May 1999 at a third address in Dundee he targeted a child by repeatedly attempting to grab them on the body and rubbing the child’s leg.
Dunbar, 48, of Dundee, pleaded not guilty on indictment to five charges of lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour towards four different children.
The offences are said to have been committed between December 1990 and May 1999.
Sheriff Elizabeth Munro set a trial date in September.
