A man is to stand trial accused of a campaign of domestic abuse that is said to have begun when he was aged just TWELVE.
Ryan Wilson faces a total of nine charges on indictment at Dundee Sheriff Court – including allegations that he forced open one former partner’s mouth and sprayed washing up liquid and air freshener into it.
Another charge states alleges that he tried to set another ex on fire before wrapping her in a duvet, punching her and stamping on her face.
Wilson, 21, of Longhaugh Road, Dundee, pleaded not guilty on indictment to five charges of assault, two of breaching bail, one of attempting to pervert the course of justice and one of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.
The dates of the charges span from December 24 2006 – when Wilson was aged 12 – to March 3 this year, and are all said to have taken place at addresses in Dundee.
David Duncan, defending, said: “He pleads not guilty to the indictment.
“We can agree some of the evidence in this case such as the provenance of certain phone recordings that the Crown are relying on.”
Sheriff Alastair Brown continued the case to a sheriff and jury trial assize next month.
