Five from Aberdeen accused of fighting United fans in Dundee city centre

Five men from Aberdeen who are accused of fighting with Dundee United fans in Dundee city centre will stand trial at the city’s Sheriff Court.
Anthony Steppie, 49, Euan Stevenson, 20, David Gowans, 21, Kennedy Miskimmons, 39, and Scott Steppie, 21, deny seven charges between them.
All the charges relate to alleged incidents on December 13, the day of a Dundee United v Aberdeen match at Tannadice.
Anthony Steppie, of Birkhall Parade, Stevenson, of Cairnfield Place, Gowans, of Woodend Crescent, Miskimmons, of Deer Road, and Scott Steppie, also of Birkhall Parade, all deny a charge of conducting themselves in a manner likely to incite public disorder.
They deny together forming part of a disorderly group, at Church Street and Main Street, and fighting with rival fans whilst on a journey to watch a football match.
Stevenson also denies assaulting an unidentified male at Church Street. The charge alleges that he kicked the man on the body.
Scott Steppie also denies a charge of assaulting another unidentified male by punching him on the head at Caldrum Street.
Trial takes place on July 8.
