Man denies trying to run over pensioner at Dundee Asda
ByEvening Telegraph Reporter
A man is to stand trial accused of trying to run over a pensioner in a supermarket car park.
Alan McGinnis is accused of reversing his car at Bruce Kelly in the car park at Asda in Milton of Craigie on November 27 last year.
He is alleged to have reversed at Mr Kelly before then driving forwards at him, prompting him to take evasive action to avoid being struck.
McGinnis is then accused of shouting, swearing, and making threats towards Mr Kelly.
McGinnis, 59, of Kerrsview Terrace, Dundee, pleaded not guilty to charges of dangerous driving and behaving in a threatening and abusive manner at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Sheriff George Way continued the case to trial later this month.
