BySheanne Mulholland
Two Dundee men and a youth are to stand trial accused of attacking a man with a hammer and a metal pole.
Marti Stewart, 22, of St Nicholas Place, Michael Pattie, 24, of Americanmuir Road, and Robert Rylance, 16, of St Fillans Road, all deny one charge against them at Dundee Sheriff Court.
The three accused deny that, while acting together, they assaulted Andrew Young by seizing hold of him by the clothing, threatening him with violence and repeatedly striking him on the body with a hammer and a metal pole, to his injury.
The incident is alleged to have taken place on May 29 last year at Clepington Road.
The three accused also deny being in possession of a metal pole on the same date and at the same location.
Trial takes place on June 19.
