Dundee man carried out string of assaults on former partners

A 43-year-old man who was found guilty of three charges of assaulting three women, all of whom were his former partners, was placed under three years supervision by Dundee Sheriff Court.
Iain Tait, of Byron Crescent, was found guilty after trial of three charges of assaulting three of his former partners, to their injury, at various locations in Dundee, on various dates between April 30, 2006, and December 23, 2013.
He was also found guilty of breach of the peace and of threatening one of the women, plus police officers, with violence.
Tait was also ordered to complete 300 hours of unpaid work within a nine month period and he was placed on a curfew.
He was placed on a 90 day restriction of liberty order, confining him to his home address between the hours of 7pm and 7am daily.
Tait was also placed under a conduct requirement to inform social workers of any relationship he enters with a woman.
