Dundee “Spider-ned” caused police stand-off on rooftop

A man dubbed “Spider-ned” climbed onto the roof of a house and threw objects at police, Dundee Sheriff Court heard.

Connor McLeod, 20, refused to come down and spat at one officer during a two-hour stand-off.

It was the second time that McLeod had been in trouble for his building-climbing exploits. He earned his nickname in 2012 after being locked up for scaling 14 storeys of a Dundee multi.
