Man due in court over alleged sex attack in Dundee car park

Police have charged a man in connection with an alleged sex attack on a young woman in a Dundee car park.

A 19-year-old is due to appear in court on Tuesday.

The incident is alleged to have happened in the early hours of Sunday morning on South Ward Road.

In a statement a spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that a 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault in South Ward Road, Dundee in the early hours of Sunday April 26.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday May 5.”
