A man allegedly left his dog unattended and dangerously out of control in Dundee.
David Tarbett, 47, is accused of leaving his Italian Mastiff called Kano alone in a common close.
On four separate occasions, the dog was said to have lunged at members of the public.
Tarbett, of Arklay Street, denied five charges under the Dangerous Dogs Act at Dundee Sheriff Court.
He denied leaving the dog unattended within a close on Dens Road and allowing it to repeatedly bark, act aggressively and lunge towards members of the public between October 18 and December 15.
He also denies a further four charges of having a dangerously out of control dog which was left unattended in a stairwell at Dens Road, acted aggressively and lunged towards a person.
The charges state the first person Kano lunged towards was an unknown female on October 24, followed by Patricia Arthur on November 28. They go on to state the dog then targeted Angus Arthur on two occasions, on December 2 and 15.
Tarbett is also accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards Mr Arthur by shouting, swearing, utter abusive remarks and threats of violence, and acting aggressively towards him.
Co-accused Nicola Millers, 36, of Dens Road, is also accused of acting in the same manner towards Mr Arthur. She denied two charges of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, and acting aggressively towards Angus Arthur on December 9 and 15. Trial takes place on August 13.
