A teenager stamped on another youth’s head and left him lying in a Dundee street amid a drunken party.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard Shaun Wilson, of Mossgiel Crescent, was 15 years old when he assaulted Owen Meiklem, then 16.
The court heard Wilson, now 16, repeatedly kicked him and also assaulted Nicola Forbes, then 18 years old, by punching her on the head.
Fiscal depute Vicki Bell told the court the assault took place at 5.15am on March 8 last year after an under-age drunken party spilled out on to St Martins Drive.
The fiscal said: “A resident was wakened by loud voices in the street. On looking out her window, she saw a group of males and females aged about 16 years old. She telephoned the police to report this. A short time later, she saw the accused walk by with a female and noted he was bare chested. She heard the female say to the accused: ‘You batter him and I’ll batter her then we will go back to my house and get on it.’”
Wilson then pulled the back of Mr Meiklem’s hooded top.
The fiscal continued: “The accused proceeded to punch him and swipe his legs causing him to fall to the ground. The accused then kicked and stamped on Mr Meiklem’s head several times as he lay on the ground.”
When police arrived Mr Meiklem was reported as having a suspected broken jaw and paramedics noted that he had footprint marks on his face. The accused was traced about half an hour later at homes.
Wilson admitted he assaulting Nicola Forbes by punching her on the head to her injury. He further admitted assaulting Owen Meiklem, by kicking his legs, knocking him to the ground and repeatedly kicking and stamping on his head and body, to his severe injury.
Sentence was deferred until April 22.
