A teenager has been charged following an investigation into the serious assault of a 12-year-old girl at a Dundee park.
Police confirmed a 13-year-old girl has now been charged in relation to the attack at Mid Craigie Park on Friday September 17.
A spokesman for the force confirmed the girl has been reported to the Youth Justice Assessor following their inquiries.
The victim’s mum said her daughter has not returned to school following the assault and is awaiting further medical assessment.
She added: “My daughter still hasn’t left the house because of extent of the swelling and bruising to her face.
“The one small comfort to have come out of this is the messages of support she has received from people from school.”
