ScotRail have reported that the termination was due to ‘disruptive passengers’ on board the train where staff members were allegedly ‘verbally assaulted’.

A ScotRail spokesperson said: “Our 0944 Aberdeen to Glasgow Queen Street service was terminated at Dundee due to disruptive passengers on board the train.
“We understand that no one enjoys travelling on a busy train, but it is no excuse to verbally assault members of our staff who are there to help.
“The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, and everyone should be able to go about their journey in peace.”
The British Transport Police have been approached for comment.
