Police are searching for a male suspect after a 26-year-old man was assaulted in an early-morning attack, leaving him with serious facial injuries.
The 26-year-old victim had to be taken to Ninewells Hospital following the assault.
The attack happened on Guthrie Street between the junction of Session Street and Brown Street at around 2.30am on October 4.
Police have described the male suspect as white, around 5ft 9in tall, with blonde hair.
At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a purple polo shirt with a black body warmer.
Officers in Dundee are appealing to the public for anyone who may have information on the attack.

Detective Constable Paul Hardie, of Dundee CID, said: “The area would have been quite busy at the time from a nearby club and we’re appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident, or has any relevant information, to contact us.”
“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 0350 of October 4 or alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
