Welsh rockers Stereophonics are set to perform at Dundee’s Caird Hall as they mark 20 years of their iconic album Just Enough Education to Perform.
The band will be performing the record – which spawned hits like Have a Nice Day and Mr Writer – in its entirety on Friday December 3, along with other songs.
Released in 2001, it was the band’s third studio album, following 1997 debut Word Gets Around and Performance and Cocktails two years later.
Following its release, Just Enough Education to Perform spent five weeks at number one and achieved six-times platinum status in the UK.
It comes as Stereophonics prepare to release new album Oochya! and go on an arena tour – including a date at P&J Live in Aberdeen – next March.
They recently released the first single from the album, Hanging on Your Hinges.
The Caird Hall gig comes just over four years after the band last played the venue to mark 20 years since their debut album.
During the show, lead singer Kelly Jones announced that drummer Jamie Morrison’s parents had met in Dundee.
Tickets for the Stereophonics gig go on sale this Friday.
The band – who have sold more than 8.5 million albums in the UK alone – are the latest big name to announce a show in the city.
Earlier this month Paloma Faith confirmed she will perform at Slessor Gardens at Dundee Waterfront next summer.
Meanwhile, 1990s stars Shed Seven are set to play an intimate show at Fat Sam’s Live in November, and Scots rockers Texas will take to the Caird Hall stage in February.
