Five people were taken to hospital after a car crash on Dundee’s A90. Dramatic images show one badly damaged vehicle lying on its side on a grass verge following the incident. Another car was also seriously damaged as a result of the smash. One passenger had to be removed from the car he was travelling in after becoming trapped. Emergency services were called to the A90 on the roundabout at Jack Martin Way just after 1.30pm. It’s understood no one involved in the incident suffered serious injury. A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call just after 1.30pm after reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision. “One of the cars rolled over several times. One of the occupants was trapped for some time before being freed by firefighters. “Three local ambulances and an ambulance manager attended and five casualties have been conveyed to Ninewells Hospital.” A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service added: “We were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision at Jack Martin Way. “One of the cars was on its side and firefighters were on hand to stabilise it.”
